READ LOADED DERVISH LONGBOARD REVIEWS:

Search the Net for Loaded dervish reviews and you will be hard put to find one which has something negative to say about this longboard.

The dervish is manufactured by Loaded Carving Systems in the United States and is made of a tri-axle fiberglass and epoxy sandwich with a vert-lam bamboo core.  When viewed from the side, the deck is shaped in a convex camber and measures forty-one and a half inches long and eight and a half inches wide.  The board has a wheel base of thirty three inches and weighs between seven to eight pounds with the trucks and wheels attached.

The deck is thinner at the front and rear end then the middle is in order to avoid the deck from biting into the wheel when making sharp turns or slides.  The board has cutouts which are milled for precision to accept drop through trucks, making the board ride low on the ground and giving it a low center of gravity.  Worth mentioning are the stunning Muslim themed graphics which decorate the bottom of the deck .  Loaded said the name dervish and the graphics they put on it were inspired by the graceful movements of the whirling dervishes made when remembering their god.

But what most Loaded dervish reviews rave about are the deck’s agility, liveliness, stability, responsiveness and smooth ride.  The camber of the board and the flexibility of the bamboo core are seen to be the key factors which contribute to making this longboard a truly sweet ride.  One way in which the flexibility of the board benefits riders is its behavior when entering into turns.  At the beginning of the turn, the rider presses down with his weight, flexing the board into a concave shape.  Once the rider straightens his leg to come out of the turn, the board rebounds back with the same energy that was used to compress it, resulting in little to no loss of forward momentum.

The deck is available in two kinds of flexes.  The Flex 1 board is the stiffer of the two and is designed for riders weighing up to two hundred thirty pounds.  The Flex 2 can support persons up to one hundred eighty pounds.

The dervish performs well in all practically all things you can do with a longboard—whether its dancing, pumping, carving, or riding down moderate hills, the dervish has not disappointed its riders with its responsive and forgiving handling characteristics and smoothness of ride.
